Learn Te Reo

Course Directors: Marjorie Smart & Shelley Walker

An opportunity to share in the Church's bi-cultural journey. Marjorie Smart and Shelley Walker lead us in a 6 part series of workshops introducing Maori language and culture in Aotearoa New Zealand. This is a course for beginners and will include work on the Anglican Maori liturgies.

Marjorie, who is Pakeha, has appreciated the enrichment of her own life and friendships through study of Te Reo me nga tikanga/language, customs and history. She enjoys sharing what she has been taught. Shelley is a member of the Anglican Bi-cultural Education Committee who has also enjoyed the enrichment which comes an engagement with Te Reo.
