Preaching Matthew's Gospel: a workshop preparing for preaching in 'Year A'.

To assist preachers, whether lay or ordained, in preaching through Matthew's Gospel for the next year in the Revised Common Lectionary, a workshop on Preaching Matthew's Gospel will be offered in three locations in the Diocese of Christchurch.

Topics covered will include: distinctive features of Matthew's Gospel; Matthew's use of the Old Testament; Matthew's portrayal of Jesus; whether Matthew's Gospel is primarily a 'Jewish gospel' or not; preaching on Matthew's parables, sayings, and miracles.

Led by Peter Carrell, Director of Education, Diocese of Christchurch.
